DETAILS
Salary: $4,200 - $6,500 per month
Full-time: 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
Weekdays: 8:00am-5:00pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
Master the health maintenance needs of patients at various ages and conditions and support patients per quality-defined protocols
Prepare and clean exam rooms
Perform injections
Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
Perform phlebotomy, point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
Assist in transporting patients within the clinic as required
Submit medication prior-authorizations
Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers, including capturing visit documentation and communication of results
Support clinic operations, including incoming calls and messages, scheduling appointments, and stocking of supplies
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board, OR equivalent
Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card

RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer incoming phone calls and appropriately direct or assist to meet their needs
Assist patients in scheduling appointments and procedures
Will coordinate the exchange of information either written or verbally before and after patients are seen between patients, family, outside facilities, and our clinicians
Obtain all necessary medical records, diagnostic studies, pathology items, etc., that are needed for patient care
Support clinic operations, including incoming calls and messages, scheduling appointments, and stocking of supplies
QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of experience in a tertiary patient care setting involving interaction with a variety of medical services, contact with patients and families, interaction with physicians, and proficiency in medical terminology
OR
An equivalent combination of education/experience
